PTSA has been busy gearing up for our Spring Gertrude Hawk chocolate sale!

Hello All! We hope your summer has been wonderful and full of sunshine and relaxation! It is hard to believe our children and teachers will all be heading back to school in a few short weeks and we all know what that means! It is time for our PTSA to gear up for the new school year to begin! We have many new ideas and are ready to start the new year with our new officers. Our new President is Sarah Lebel, Vice President is Chera Davison, Treasurer is Nikki Carter and our Secretary is Maureen McKee.

Our next meeting will be held in the board room at 6:30pm on Tuesday, September 21st. Please come and join us, we love to see new faces and hear new thoughts and ideas!!

Hello all! We hope that the beautiful weather has had all of you outdoors enjoying yourselves!

There are few updates from the past couple of meetings.

Our FROGS night was another success! We are so please to have had such a great turn out and are also thrilled that our students are such excited and motivated readers. Keep up the good work kids!!

We will be holding elections on Tuesday June 1st at 6:30 in the board room. Everyone is welcome to attend and all paid members are allowed to vote. We hope to see many friendly faces there!

On June 19th we will be holding our Lisbon PTSA carnival from 2pm-6pm. In conjunction to the carnival the LCS Girls Varsity Basketball team will be having a Pig Roast. The carnival is our way to say a HUGE thank you to our teachers, students and community for all you do to help support our PTSA!! Please come and join us for what will surely be a wonderful time for all!

Please join us for our PTSA meeting at 6:30 in the board room!  All are welcome and we love to see new faces!!

On March 20th the LCS PTSA will be holding a volleyball tournament at LCS Gym to benefit our community.  The first 12 teams to register will play a round robin style tournament.  Teams can have up to 10 players and a minimum of 6 players.  All team members must be 16 years of age or older.  Entry is $50.00 per team and cash prizes will be given.  1st place will receive $100.00, 2nd place will receive $75.00 and 3rd place will receive $50.00.  Teams need to arrive at 8am to sign in and register and the tournament will run from 9am-4pm.  Concessions will be available and children are welcome!  There will be a supervised childrens activity room for them to enjoy.  Please call Stacey at 323-5287 to sign your team up by Wednesday, March 17th.

Our PTSA has been a busy group during February and we will continue to be busy right through March as well!

We had a successful and fun Valentine’s cookie decorating night! The children all had a wonderful time and it seems as if the parents did too.

Our Gertrude Hawk chocolate sales are also in full swing! If you haven’t ordered your Easter goodies yet please get in touch with one of our members and order some of our delicious treats! All orders must be in by March 3rd so that all orders will be in in time for Easter.

The PTSA is also pleased to announce we are hosting The Lisbon PTSA Volleyball Tournament on March 20th. It will take place in the LCS gym from 9am-4pm with teams registering from 8-8:30am.

The PTSA would also like to ask for your support as a community. We have all heard about the possible closure of Ogdensburg Correctional Facility and what that impact would have on our families and communities, please show your support and join us on March 12th at 4pm on the front steps of Ogdensburg City Hall.  If you can’t make it on the 12th you can still show your support by wearing an orange shirt on Thursday, March 11th!  The employees and their families appreciate any and all support you can give!

Our next meeting will be April 5th at 6:30pm in the board room. We hope to see some more new faces at the next meeting. Until then we hope everyone has a Happy Easter!

Our next meeting will be held on February 8th at 6:30 in the board room at LCS.  Bring a friend along as well!  We are always looking for new members!

Be on the look out for some fun activities coming up!  The most recent activities we will be sponsoring are; a cookie night on February 10th, a coloring contest and Amber is working on a sledding event with Beth Flack!  Dates and times will be posted as we set them!  Bring your families and join the fun!

Please keep in mind that new members are always welcome and we love to see new faces and hear new ideas!!

The PTSA will be holding the next meeting November 30th at 6:30pm in the board room. All are welcome and we are always looking for new faces to join us!

We would like to say a special Thank You to Mrs Woods, Mr Woodside, Mrs Dempsy and Marcie O’Neil for all they did to make our FROGS night a success and for their devotion to our students.

Mark your calendars! Our PTSA will be hosting a “Hollywood Nights” themed dance at the American Legion in Lisbon on Friday December 4th. We are inviting anyone in grades 5-8 to join us from 7pm-9pm to enjoy good music and friends.  Wear your best Hollywood Nights costume.  Snacks and drinks will be provided.  It is going to be a fun night so come join us!

Our next PTSA meeting will be held November 2nd at 6:30 in the board room. Please make note that it is a Monday evening as we have changed the day meetings will be held.

At the last meeting elections were held and our new officers for the 2009-2010 year are; Chera Davison-President, Tara Kroeger-Vice President, Lisa Ward-Treasurer, and Sara Lebel-Secretary. Our new officers will take office as of the November 2nd meeting. Congratulations everyone! A special Thank You to the 2008-2009 officers for a successful year!!

Reality Check has offered to help us with a Dance. The idea of accepting hats, mittens, socks, etc. at the door instead of money has been mentioned. We still need to decide what age group, what types of food to have, and we are also thinking of holding it at the Legion. There will be a DJ and we also need to set the hours. Please bring your thoughts and suggestions to the table!

Everyone listen for our Ad’s on the radio! Beth Flack has put together some great stuff!

Our PTSA will meet again on Oct 13, 2009 6:30 pm in board room. Elections will take place and then a bit of business will be done.

On Oct 28 2009 we will be hosting a FROGS night from 6-7:30pm in the LCS Library!
